CAEP is the sole nationally-recognized accrediting body for educator preparation.听 Institutions seeking accreditation must pass peer review on five standards, which are based on two principles: (1) Solid evidence that the provider鈥檚 graduates are competent and caring educators, and (2) Solid evidence that the provider鈥檚 educator staff have the capacity to create a culture of evidence and use it to maintain and enhance the quality of the professional programs they offer.
鈥淭hese providers meet high standards so that their students receive an education that prepares them to succeed in a diverse range of classrooms after they graduate,鈥 said CAEP President Dr. Christopher A. Koch. 鈥淪eeking CAEP Accreditation is a significant commitment on the part of an educator preparation provider.鈥
The following Initial-Licensure Level programs at 好色先生TV University have been approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education and accredited by CAEP.听 Note: These programs are guaranteed to meet Ohio licensure requirements, and candidates interested in being licensed in another state need to work with that state鈥檚 office and the faculty to determine eligibility for the other state.
- Primary (PK-5) Licensure
- Primary Intervention Specialist (PK-5) Licensure
- Middle Childhood Licensure (Four concentration areas)
- Middle Childhood Dual Intervention Specialist Licensure
- Adolescence to Young Adult (AYA) Licensure: Integrated Language Arts, Integrated Mathematics, Integrated Social Studies, Integrated Science, Life Sciences, Physical Science (Chemistry), Physical Science (Physics), Physical Science (Chemistry and Physics)
- Multi-Age Licensure: Music, Visual Arts, Spanish
- Career Technical Licensure
CAEP Accountability Measures
CAEP (Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation) has four Accountability Measures which are used to provide information to the public on program impact and听outcome measures.听
Measure 1: Completer Impact and Effectiveness
Measure 2: Satisfaction of Employers and Stakeholder Involvement
Measure 3: Candidate Competency at Program Completion
Measure 4: Ability of Completers to be Hired in Education Positions for Which They Have Been Prepared

鈥淗igh-quality teachers and principals are developed through high-quality educator preparation programs. To continuously improve the quality of educator preparation programs in Ohio, Ohio Revised Code 3333.048 requires the Chancellor of Higher Education and the Superintendent of Public Instruction to establish and publish metrics for institutions of higher education that prepare educators and other school personnel.鈥 (Ohio Department of Higher Education).
