Biography

About Me

I am passionate about education in an undergraduate setting. My laboratory research is directed toward the synthesis and characterization of new ligands and related transition metal complexes for homogeneous catalysis. In the classroom, I am interested in chemical education, especially the creation of new laboratory experiments tailored to an undergraduate setting. In my current role as Associate Dean of the Getty College of Arts & Sciences, I work听on curriculum, assessment, course scheduling, and catalog updates; respond听to faculty and faculty/student concerns; advise听general studies and general science students; handle听incomplete and change of grade requests; organize听and assist听with faculty and school leadership development activities, develop听strategic plans and initiatives in consultation with the Dean, and assume听responsibilities of the Dean as needed; and consult/collaborate听with faculty, associate deans of the other colleges, and Academic Affairs as needed.
